Our Heroes
Every Journey is Unique
Every Veteran who has been part of the MOVE community has a unique story to share, but they all share a common thread: resilience, strength, and the determination to build a better future. At Missouri Veterans Endeavor, we are honored to support our Veterans as they overcome some of the greatest challenges and work toward stability and independent living.
Through our program, we have been able to house hundreds of Veterans and their families, aiding them in finding employment, and guiding them as they realize a renewed sense of purpose. Below, we share the inspiring stories of a few members who have been a part of our Veteran assistance programs, highlighting their incredible journeys.

R.M.’s Story
R.M. served in the United States Air Force from 1996 to 2002 as an aviation fueler. After losing his job due to industry consolidation, he experienced over a year of homelessness. With the support of MOVE, R.M. spent two years rebuilding his life and has since secured stable employment as a commercial fueler at Lambert International Airport. Recently, he achieved the milestone of homeownership and now has the opportunity to focus on his career while spending quality time with his children.

T.W.’s Story
T.W. served in the United States Navy from 1993 to 2004. As a single mother, she faced challenges securing stable employment and housing, moving frequently between jobs. Determined to build a better future for herself and her children, T.W. pursued her passion for cooking and graduated from the L’Ecole Culinaire. Today, she is a proud business owner, running her own catering company and living independently in the community.
